Rigoletto

The Romantic Violin
Kinga Augustyn, violin and Magdalena Baczewska, piano perform a pair of concerts
this weekend called “The Romantic Violin”. Nocturnes by Chopin, the Meditation from Thais by Massenet, Weiniawski’s Legende and others. Saturday the 18th at Broward County Main Library in Ft. The Tony Award winning musical La Cage Aux Folles is onstage this weekend at the
Kravis Center. La Cage Aux Folles was the biggest show on Broadway in 2010, and
won 3 Tony awards, including the award for best musical revival. La Cage Aux Folles runs now through Sunday the 19th at the Kravis Center. kravis.org

Gil Shaham
Violinist Gil Shaham joins the New World Symphony for two concerts this weekend,
Prokofiev’s symphony no. 2 and violin concerto no. 2 with Gil Shaham, conducted by Michael Tilson Thomas. The icing on the cake? Tchaikovsky’s Festival Coronation March. Friday night’s performance starts at 7:30 at the New World Center…this is also a Wallcast concert, so you can watch and listen on the lawn outside.
