Daniel Lewis: A Life in Dance
At the end of this year Daniel Lewis, founder and dean of the dance division in Miami’s New World School of the Arts, is retiring.  Sort of. Lewis is stepping down from his position as Dean in order to get back to teaching. The NWSA presents Daniel Lewis: A life in Dance, a gala and performance in Daniel’s honor with dancers from some of the most prestigious companies in the country, and takes place next Friday, the 5th. Backstage at the Ballet
Ft. Lauderdale Children’s Ballet Theatre presents excerpts from their  company’s repertoire this weekend with Backstage at the Ballet. The company will perform portions of ballet favorites including Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia and Carnival of the
Animals. Plus, dancers will demonstrate how they prepare for performances, include a therapeutic warm up, hair styling choices, and theatrical make-up  technique. Backstage at the Ballet with the Ft.
