Tropical Baroque Festival

The 12th International Tropical Baroque Music Festival kicks off this Sunday the 27th, 7 nights of the best of Baroque performed by an amazing lineup of musicians from all over the world. Brian Neal will conduct the Miami Brass at 7pm at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. Florida Music

The Broward College Visual and Performing Arts Department presents the Broward Symphonic Band in a program of past and present Florida residents.

Works by composers like Robert Sheldon, Charles Carter, Robert Longfield, and others. Maestro Neil Jenkins will give the downbeat at 2pm Sunday the 27th at the Bailey Concert Hall on the A. Hugh Adams Central Campus. All the details you need are online at broward.edu.

The Irish Curse

A hilarious new play called The Irish Curse is onstage at the Mosaic Theatre. It’s about a small group of Irish-American men that meet every Wednesday night at a self-help group. The play takes a comical yet truthful look at age and body image, and tackles some tough questions about identity, relationships and social status. The Irish Curse runs now through March 7th at the Mosaic Theater in Plantation. Show times and tickets are available at mosaictheatre.com.

Ballet Nacional de Espana

It has been 10 years since Spain’s pre-eminent dance company has performed in South Florida. Ballet Nacional de Espana returns to Miami with more than 40 virtuosic performers to perform two of their most riveting works now through Saturday the 26th.
