Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem 

The Master Chorale of South Florida is made up of the finest classical singers in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach Counties, offers one of the most bombastic pieces in their repertoire; Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem. There are four performances, Thursday the 24th through Sunday the 27th, Saturday the 26th is sold out. Tickets are available at masterchoraleofsouthflorida.com.

Ferenc Illenyi

Violinist Ferenc Illenyi plays in the first violin section of the Houston Symphony, but right now Ferenc is on a one-year sabbatical, focusing on some of his other musical loves. Ferenc will play a recital next Monday, the 21st, at 8 at the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach.

Yoonjung Han

When she was just 9 years old, pianist Yoonjung Han won the gold medal Samick Piano Competition in South Korea. Now 26, Han will perform a diverse program that includes pieces by Bach, Haydn, Granados, wrapping things up with Mephisto Waltz by Liszt. Yoonjung Han will play at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Boca Raton at 8pm. There are more details at uufbr.org.

Miguel Gutiérrez

One of the greatest contemporary dance performances recently created will be onstage next week, Miguel Gutiérrez and the Powerful People. They will be presenting The Last Meadow, based on the films of James Dean including East of Eden, Rebel Without a Cause and Giant on the Cultura del Lobo Performance Series by the Miami Dade College. The Last Meadow will be playing on March 25th and 26th at the Colony Theater on Lincoln Rd in South Beach. For tickets please visit mdc.edu.
