Summer Shorts is the City Theatre’s annual production of little bite-sized scenes.
This rapid-fire production features some of the best local and national actors and
writers, plus there’s a late night show called Dirty Little Secrets, and a family
friendly production called Camp Kappawanna. Summer Shorts runs now through July 3rd.

The Ugly Duckling
Next Sunday the prestigious Kirova Ballet Academy presents its students’ annual year-end showcase production of “The Ugly Duckling”, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale. These young dancers will perform the story in different styles and techniques from classical ballets all the way up to the latest in today’s modern and hip-hop dance styles. The Ugly Duckling, Sunday June 19th at 1 and 4:30 at the Aventura Arts and Culture Center.

Metamorphosis
The Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida, directed by Gordon Roberts, will give a pair of concerts next weekend, Friday the 17th and and Saturday the 18th. The program is called ‘Metamorphosis’, a diverse selection of choral pieces that show how change can be wonderful. The Gay men’s Chorus of South Florida perform at 8pm on the 17th and 18th at Sunshine Cathedral in Fort Lauderdale.

“El Colibrí”
Cuban born, Jose Angel Navarro is one of the fastest guitar players in the world.
His personally developed technique is acclaimed by music’s best as being unique in the world. Navarro plays anything from Classical to Flamenco, Jazz, Fusion, or New Age, and on Friday June 10th will perform his composition “El Colibrí” at the Venetian Arts Society. venetianartssociety.com
